Dr. Spaulding has been fantastic. I started coming to her after my dental insurance had lapsed for a few years. She got me back on track and really healthy, and it’s been a pleasure and I highly recommend Dr. Spaulding and her team.

Many patients wish for the social advantages and health benefits that come with beautifully aligned teeth. However, the idea of years spent in uncomfortable metal braces keeps many from pursuing the orthodontic care they need. Today, there’s a discreet, comfortable alternative for straightening your smile. With Invisalign clear aligner trays, you can achieve your smile goals without compromising your appearance or lifestyle in the meantime.
With Invisalign treatment at Spaulding Dentistry, our dentist, Dr. Jocelyn Spaulding has helped countless patients perfect their smiles and avoid the hassle that comes with metal brackets and wires. Discover how Invisalign delivers the same stunning results as braces with a quicker, curated process that’s invisible to the people in your life.
Invisalign clear aligners are orthodontic appliances that straighten your smile without relying on traditional metal braces. They’re custom-made from patented SmartTrack™ material that’s nearly invisible when in use. Your aligners are simple to remove, allowing you to enjoy all your favorite meals and perform a complete dental hygiene routine. Without anyone noticing, your teeth will be gently moved into their ideal alignment—all without the inconveniences of traditional metal braces.
Dr. Spaulding, our Decatur dentist, works closely with patients to determine whether Invisalign is the best choice to address their orthodontic health needs. If you’re interested in clear aligners in Atlanta, our team would love to meet with you.
Patients choose Invisalign for many reasons, from the convenience of a removable orthodontic solution to the efficiency of their rapid results. But everyone appreciates the cosmetic benefits of straightening smiles without metal brackets and wires interfering in social and professional settings.
Explore just some of the benefits of Invisalign treatment:
Invisalign aligners can typically deliver amazing results in just 12 to 18 months. This can be as little as half the time it would take traditional braces, which often require a minimum of two years of treatment.
Your treatment with Invisalign is planned out from the beginning for a curated experience. Instead of visiting your orthodontists repeatedly for adjustments to your braces, you’ll move through each customized phase of aligners and stop by for occasional checkups.
With Invisalign, you’ll simply remove your aligners to brush and floss your teeth. This allows you to easily maintain excellent oral hygiene over the course of your entire treatment.
No one has to know that you’ve decided to enhance your smile. Invisalign’s transparent trays are nearly impossible to notice while they’re being worn.
The thin, flexible material of your aligners won’t irritate the soft tissue of your mouth the way traditional metal braces can.
Metal braces require you to adjust your diet to protect them from damage and avoid getting food caught between brackets and wires. With Invisalign clear aligners, you’ll simply remove your trays before eating and enjoy all your favorite foods.
For patients with a teeth-grinding or clenching habit, Invisalign functions similarly to nightguard and protects your teeth from excessive wear.
For all these reasons and more, Invisalign remains a popular treatment option and maintains an exceptional rate of patient satisfaction. If these benefits have you wondering if Invisalign could be right for your smile, schedule a consultation with Dr. Spaulding. You’ll discover what a life changing investment Invisalign could be for your health, happiness, and self-esteem.
Invisalign clear aligners function according to the same principles as traditional braces. They work by gently applying pressure to your teeth over time, moving them gradually into their ideal position. Each step of the process is planned out before you receive the first aligner tray, allowing you to know in advance what you can expect from Invisalign treatment.
In as little as half the time and with none of the added hassles, you can achieve results that would otherwise require years in braces.
The key to successful treatment with Invisalign is diligently wearing your aligners as often as possible. This means removing them only for meals and your oral hygiene routine before promptly returning them to your mouth. If you lose or break an aligner, don’t panic. Contact Dr. Spaulding immediately to procure a replacement and follow her instructions to avoid any extension to your treatment time.
Getting the most out of your Invisalign treatment will require you to take excellent care of your oral health and follow the simple rules of using aligner trays. While your aligners are in, you must refrain from eating or drinking liquids other than clear water. This helps preserve your aligners’ transparency and protects them from damage.
It’s also important to brush your teeth after every meal and snack before returning your aligners to your mouth. Preventing food and plaque from becoming trapped under your aligners helps you avoid potential tooth decay or harm to your gums. Along with brushing and flossing your teeth, you’ll also need to clean your aligners regularly. Brush them daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush and rinse them with lukewarm water before placing them back in your mouth.
Once you complete your treatment, maintaining your teeth will be just as important as caring for them after traditional braces. Wear your retainers as prescribed and see Dr. Spaulding for regular visits to protect your beautiful investment.

Honestly, it’s been really life-changing for me. Before to Dr. Spaulding I had never used dental floss my entire life, I really dreaded coming to the dentist and tried not to think about dental hygiene or preventive dentistry at all. Dr. Spaulding taught me preventive dentistry, that I can take of my own teeth though flossing and good dental hygiene at home. She gave the basic tools that allowed me to come to the dentist less and save a lot of money on dental care. It’s allowed my teeth and gums to become very healthy, something I know I’ll be able to maintain.

Invisalign isn’t painful, but you may experience some discomfort when you first wear your new set of aligners. Much like with traditional braces, your teeth will be shifting, which could cause some soreness. The discomfort should only last for a few days.
The best way to keep your aligners clean is by brushing and rinsing them in lukewarm water using special cleaning tablets. Make sure you remove them before each meal, and brush your teeth before re-inserting them to maintain good oral hygiene.
In most cases, the cost of Invisalign is similar to traditional braces. Your exact cost will depend on the duration of your treatment. Dr. Spaulding will go over the cost and financing options with you during your consultation.
Aside from having a straight, stunning smile you can be proud of, you may be asked to wear a retainer at night when your Invisalign treatment is complete. Every case is different, however, so our team will assess your situation after you finish with your last set of aligners.
